Gates buys more Berkshire Hathaway Class A shares Fri Sep 16, 2005 07:14 PM ET
WASHINGTON, Sept 16 (Reuters) - Microsoft Corp. (MSFT.O: Quote, Profile, Research) Chairman Bill Gates added another 100 shares to his holdings of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (BRKa.N: Quote, Profile, Research) Class A stock, according to a U.S. regulatory filing on Friday.
Gates, who became a director at billionaire Warren Buffett's company last December, has added 360 Class A shares since the end of August, according to recent filings he has made with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
With the 3,580 shares he previously held, according to Berkshire's recent proxy statement, Gates now holds a total of 3,940 shares of Class A stock in the Omaha, Nebraska-based company.
Gates's recent purchase of 100 shares was made on Wednesday at prices ranging from $82,800 to $83,000 per share, the filing shows.
Berkshire Class A shares closed $1,100 lower, or 1.3 percent, at $81,400 on the New York Stock Exchange on Friday.
