We still haven't had any rain, but it's a little cooler. THEY say it's 83. The high was 98, and it was 95 till about an hour ago.

A few years ago I had a nasturtium. At the end of July, it suddenly developed black aphids. Just AWFUL. At least they didn't bother the other plants, but they were all over the nasturtium, and nothing I tried got rid of them. So I whacked the thing off about three inches from the soil.

Amazingly, it came back. Without black aphids.
