sarai....

Most Christians have never heard of the group your article speaks of, and I can assure you that they represent a tiny minority of Christians. Post-millennialism, as the article stated, was a 19th Century movement that has long since died out for all practical purposes. The vast majority of evangelical Christians today are either Pre-millennial or Amillennial in their eschatology and would view a Post-millennial movement as based on very poor biblical doctrine.

Amillennialists are mostly found in liberal christianity (influenced by the theory of evolution) and in the ranks of the reformed branch of conservative Christianity. The recent arrival of the theonomists have come mostly from the ranks of the Amillennialists of the conservative branch, but they still represent a very small minority of Christians.

One only needs to look at the history of the 19th and 20th centuries to see that the world is not moving toward a perfect place of peace and happiness - and the beginning of the 21st century would be overkill. But that is only a sidelight, since the Bible (including Jesus, in Matthew 24-25) clearly tells us that the world will continue to get worse, not better, until He returns.

In my opinion, you do not have to worry about such a small splinter group as a political force since most Christians would oppose much of what they advocate.
