though still in the thrall of the very pure bullshit ideology that would reduce those who don't live off their accumulated wealth, but actually have to work to make their living, to serfs

capitalism, the free market, unregulated and not taxed progressively so as to keep something resembling a fair deal for all players, is quite literally a game of Monopoly -- when there's a 'winner', everybody else has lost, bankrupt forever, and the game is over (in the real world, at least until the whole social fabric unravels into chaos and revolution) -- a result that is guaranteed back here in the real world by the very ideology to which you remain in thrall

oh, and we, collectively, those who live off their accumulated wealth and all the rest of us, are the government -- which is the only thing we have that can counter the runaway power of accumulated wealth, if the rest of us other than those who live off their accumulated wealth are up to the task of making it so do -- something that has been true not only in our time and system, but throughout all human history
