Stephanie -- geez, who knows what might be fair in the circumstances, all things considered -- and apparently(?) a large part of his severance package was in effect already earned, reflecting/carrying over such as he already had in his previous contract/from his earlier service -- as more or less that all may have been ridiculous/exemplary of ridiculous top exec pay and benefits in its own right
