SNDK fundamentals strong and getting stronger.
Not only is AAPL switching their MP3 players to flash (eating up huge amounts of supply, creating supply constraints), but other MP3 players are switching as well. And Samsung just said that they will still aim to cut prices by 40% in the next 6 months, but will maintain margins by using MLC process to make more of their flash--and they pay royalties on MLC to Sandisk, so upping SNDK's royalty revenue. Meanwhile SNDK is selling all the flash it can make, has more wafers coming online over the next few months.
Stock now over 40, up strong in premarket this morning on Samsung comments about MLC. Samsung also dangled the possibility of flash drives in 2007 replacing hard drives in notebook computers, giving flash yet another potential huge market downstream. As if they don't have enough potential huge markets already. If Mr. Market doesn't throw them a curve, I think the stock is going into the 60s by the end of the year. All JMO.
