Right on target. It doesn't help that we have some politicians actively attacking and mocking those who have degrees, even advanced degrees, especially from the more acclaimed and prestigious universities in the countries. How in the hell did the word "elite" ever get to such negative associations as it does in the political arena? I guess I answered my own question.
