Actually, I don't think I said "Saddam and his ilk". But in case I could be misinterpreted, let me say that my experience is the vast majority of the population in the middle east are people just like us that just want to live in peace and hope that their children will have a good and happy life. I have many Muslim friends, and some in the middle east and Asia that my wife and I correspond with regularly.

Unfortunately there is still a small group of powerful and wealthy people who are not civilized and who still live in the middle ages. These people only respect power and the willingness to exert it. Saddam is one of those.
