Two things. Low on the list: the give to the rich handouts, his secret Energy task force and the Enron scandal. Top of the list: 9/11 and his hypocritical reaction to it. He had a chance to really make a difference and he blew it. Instead of a real debate of 9/11 and fundamental constructive steps (like solving the Palestinian issue) we ended up with our constitutions and freedoms trampled and the world in a far worse shape. The thing that really blindsided me during the 2000 election was his fundamentalist religious fanaticism. Had I known that I never would have voted for the clueless bozo in the first place. Fundamentalist religion and the power of the presidency is one hell of a power keg.
