Windandsea, the patents for MIT1000 were granted in 2002 under David Haavig PhD at Micro Identification Technology and these were based on the work of Philip Wyatt. There was a direct technology transfer from Wyatt to MMTC on Oct 25th, 1997. The MIT 1000 patents are only 10 years old. Most pharmaceutical patents are 14 years old on average before a drug even gets to market just to add a little perspective. I hope this helps. You can read more about this in my previous posts.
