I agree they need to stop sending out email with info, this is not a proper way to disseminate information. I cannot think of one instance though, where the company or CEO has not followed through with what he has said. It's not me but if it was I would focus on the business core, file my quarterlies on time and maybe a PR inbetween the quarterlies. Thats more than enough info coming out, if shareholders cannot relax and feel comfortable with their investment, then move on. I wouldn't be catering to every whim of every shareholder and I wouldn't be responding and giving out info via email.
