China threatens compulsory licenses for certain branded drugs

I am informed by someone who should know that this article is misleading in a number of respects. In actuality there appears to be no recent change in Chinese law - the link is to the SIPO website and the commentary there has been around for some months. The compulsory license provision has been around for a decade, and to date no compulsory licenses have been issued.
