I gave you the infor that you asked for yesterday, yet today, you post the same questions on a different board, when you already knew the answers. That's dishonest.

Now, you post the word "products" in quotes as though to imply that there is some question as to whether the Ikanos and Infineon products are actually real. That's dishonest.

I am amazed that there isn't a firestorm of publicity and stock-talk that Ikanos has come up with the "last mile" solution if it is a fact.

First of all, the term "last mile" is passe. No one uses it anymore. The "last mile" problem has been solved for a couple of years. Even the lowest-tier products deliver broadband (>1 Mbps) to the last mile.

The new buzzword is "triple-play", and yes, there is quite the firestorm about the newest triple-play solutions if you cared to pay attention to it. Do a Google search on "Ikanos triple-play". I get 43,000 hits. A similar search on "Infineon triple play" yields 110,000 hits. Both companies offer tested, shipping products that significantly outperform Embarq's claims in the triple play arena.

The most recent firestorm of publicity has been over the ratification of the VDSL2 standard. It is huge news in the industry, and ity standardizes the performance characteristics of the best triple-play productson the market.

The amount of publicity that these events have generated is enormous. I have made several posts on these subjects, but few people seemed interested in responding. Mostly, I gather, because they just don't understand what it means.

Here are some facts for you. Ikanos, Infineon, Metalink and others have products on the market that significantly outperform what NVEI claims for Embarq that are targeted at the very market that NVEI is supposedly targeting (i.e. triple-play). The claims made two years by NVEI may have been impressive then, but they are not even close to the competition now. This is a fast-moving industry. You *really* need to understand that.
