Question about the cost basis on double downs. If I select stock "A" at the beginning of the contest at an opening price of $6 a share, and I later double down Stock "A" after it has dropped to $2, would the cost basis of the entire position be averaged. In the example, would the cost basis of the entire doubled-down position be adjusted to $4 for purposes of the contest? TIA.
