Yeah, crude oil doesn't much bother me. Most people don't know that if you put a lighted match in a bucket of oil it will go out. It's hard to get to burn. Once burning though, it's hard to get it to go out.
80 ft. That's pretty good pressure. When the water main out by the curb broke, I only had about a 3 ft geyser in my front yard.
The gasoline pipelines are a little more dangerous, but would probably just catch on fire as opposed to blowing up.
LNG on the other hand is dangerous. No way would I have a major pipeline within a block of me. I've seen the news stories of caters half a block in diameter. It's dangerous just to have it come to your house. There's usually a few stories a year of houses totally flattened from NG leaks.
