As a business owner myself, I was surprised that the BBB didn't even ask me for any references or merits to become a BBB business member with an "A" rating. They simply just wanted my annual fee and I would be all set. And, to make things worse, the guy kept calling me over and over like a desperate sales person. Ever since then, I don't trust any of those BBB ratings.
