Oh ok...you said that at the bottom of the other post and I missed it.

Here is my abbreviated laymans cliff notes version:

The lunar ego is the unconscious primal fight or flight. It is the function of the cerebellum. It is our animal instincts and the three gunas are the aspects of that.

Remember, this stuff was the Quantum Physics of its day. They observed behavior and noticed effects and gave it names. Today, with modern scientific discovery, we know that parts of the brain and nervous systems that are active when behavior is demonstated.

This changes nothing when it comes to spiritual awakening. During the process of awakening, our chemistry changes. So to derive one of many parallels the Sun/Solar Ego would be a balanced Right/Left brain in expression without interference of the lower brain function. If one views their physiology as an antenna and conduit for the One to be expressed, these notions apply.

Of course modern psychology uses terms like Id, Ego and SuperEgo. So in this work, Alchemy precedes Chemistry (Science). Psychic precedes Psychology. The process of self discovery happens as we explore our Earth (body). The Holy of Holies Temple is built so that we can See. This takes place in the Amygdala. The danger, of course, is becoming crazy and that is why Mystery Schools are there to protect aspirants and guide them along this transformation of Body and Mind so Soul/Expression of the One is what is left.
