I think negotiations wouldn't have started had high debt was concern. The balance sheet is the first thing to look at then it comes to pricing & other stuff and you wouldn't start negotiation if you have nothing in your pocket and the company wouldn't negotiate with you unless they see some value in your company.

Just my 2 cents.
