My posts still carry a little weight, unless you happen to prove that:
- Turion gains >10% of the mobile market this year.
- Turion has the capacity to gain a competitive advantage versus Yonah
By the way, at the time I wrote these, Turion clocked up to 1.8GHz at 25W and 2.0GHz at 35W. AMD has made a lot of progress in ramping the clock frequency since then, and some recent Turion designs have allowed me to relinquish my stance of Turion vs. Dothan. Right now, through some decent advances, AMD managed to get a competitive part against today's Centrino designs, but it remains to be seen if they can keep this advantage when Intel launches Napa.
