BTW, that doesn't mean you shouldn't be going for the throat of Ameritrade or Scottrade.

They can refuse to sell a security to you, that's street practice and actually makes some sense.

To refuse to allow you to sell a security which they sold to you/ bought for your benefit, is crap. I suspect they change that status.
