Even from a distance of many years, most normal people felt sorrow when reading about a young boy getting pinned down and crying for help while Willard and his friends cut off his hair because they didn't like the way he looked! Willard's chuckle when reminded of this event is very troubling and probably explains why he was successful in forming a company that would put people out of work, while he made handsome profits.
