CBIS or any company of this nature, need to work along the parameters that are currently in place. Right now one of the biggest problems are the Federal laws in place. Couple this with the pharmaceutical industry lack of blockbuster drug release, makes it's an uphill battle to say the least. As all these agencies have much $$$$ to lose should this science continue to make it to the mainstream public.

This is why it's very important and relevant that the states represenatives are standing their ground. The DEA raids, being reported daily in the media have been going on for years.

In California:

This effort to undermine California's medical marijuana law comes after the DEA attempted to shut down more than ten facilities earlier this year in the Los Angeles area by executing para-military style raids with agents wearing ski-masks and guns drawn. "This is an example of using any means necessary by federal law enforcement in its continued attack on patients and the science behind cannabis as medicine," said Steph Sherer, Executive Director of Americans for Safe Access (ASA), a medical marijuana patient advocacy organization. "We will not stand for this type of intimidation. We intend to support landlords in their decision to rent to medical cannabis providers, and we urge Congress to take up this issue, not only on behalf of patients, but now also on behalf of landlords that have been brought into the crossfire."

This may be why CBIS is being very clear about disclosing their business model. Making sure to mention that they are looking forward to working with Gov't. You can find these subtle comments in their 10k as well as things they put out to the press.

So, it may be a reason they are keeping curtain events close to the vest. As shareholders we can take a lesson from their efforts, show some patience as they put all the pieces together.
