August 25, 2005 -- U.S. Attorney for Northern Illinois Patrick Fitzgerald has struck a deal with former Chicago Sun-Times publisher David Radler. Radler, a former executive of Hollinger Corporation and the defunct Canadian firm, Ravelston Corporation, is going to plead guilty to fraud charges on Sept. 15. Observers point out that Radler has likely struck a plea agreement with Fitzgerald in return for his testimony against former Hollinger owner Conrad Black (Lord Black) of the UK. Hollinger owns a number of neocon newspapers, including the Daily Telegraph (UK) and the Jerusalem Post. Arch-neocon Richard Perle served as head of Hollinger Digital and was involved in questionable money movements between Hollinger and his Trireme Partners, a venture capital firm in which Perle, Henry Kissinger, Boeing Corp., and Gerald Hillman, a Perle business associate who was named a member of the Pentagon's Defense Policy Board while Perle was its chairman. Perle attempted to get Saudi investments in Trireme through his old friend, Saudi billionaire Adnan Khashoggi. Kissinger and former Illinois Governor and 911 Commission member Jim Thompson served on Hollinger's board and may also be subjects of interest in Fitzgerald's probe. There is no doubt that Fitzgerald's investigation of Hollinger will saoon meet his other investigation: the leak of Valerie Plame Wilson's name and that of her non-official cover (NOC) Brewster Jennings & Associates firm to Chicago Sun-Times columnist Robert Novak.

August 25, 2005 -- Heard from inside the Pentagon'as E-Ring: U.S. Army TRADOC commander, four star General Kevin Byrnes, was acked on direct orders from Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld because he tangled with Rumsfeld and his neocon cabal over issues ranging from recruitement of foreign citizens into the U.S. Army and relaxation of English proficiency standards. The charges of adultery against Byrnes were trumped up by the same Pentagon group of political enforcers who took away Brig. Gen. Janis Karpinski's star.
