The Wolverine Exploration Story

.
In Search of a potential Elephant Deposit.

Wolverine Exploration Inc. ("Wolverine") is a junior exploration company focused on the exploration of mineral properties in Labrador, Canada. Wolverine holds a 90% interest in 449 mineral claims which cover an area of approximately 11,225 hectares in central Labrador and contain a series of significant copper-gold showings. These sub-crops were discovered during construction of the Trans-Labrador Highway (TLH). Assay values of copper and gold in sulphide range from 1.38% up to 6.4% Cu and up to 0.5 g/t Au.

The airborne survey has identified 8 conductive targets that warrant ground follow-up. The airborne survey was conducted by Stephen Balch a respected geophysicist that has worked worldwide for many multinational mining companies. A complete report can be found here.

The most interesting response occurs along four 100 meter flight lines showing an east-west strike that occurs approximately 200 m north of the CR-11 (1.69% Cu) and CR-13 (2.17% Cu and 556 ppb Au) mineralized showings.

In 2010 a ground magnetic survey was completed by Abitibi Geophysics. Several magnetic anomalies were discovered, that report can be found here

In 2011 A drill program began with a group of magnetic targets in the eastern end of the property 20 km from the main outcropping, these targets turned out to be malachite and were of no mineral importance, before the drill program could continue the winter approached early and the drill program was suspended until 2012.
Current Focus:
The Labrador Claims total 449 mineral claims and cover an area of approximately 11,225 hectares in central Labrador and contain a series of significant copper-gold showings. These sub-crops were discovered during construction of the Trans-Labrador Highway (TLH). Assay values of copper and gold in sulphide range from 1.38% up to 6.4% Cu and up to 0.5 g/t Au. Wolverine Exploration has set a budget and approximate drill program for 2012, this program will focus on an area 360 meters by 450 meters that has surface showing of green malachite and grab samples of 2.4%Cu and 6.4%Cu with anomalous gold showing of up to 0.5 g/t Au.
