Actually, the "right" elimination of double taxation is to make dividends an expense to the corporations, this way they are treated like debt interest, companies will use more equity less debt, and recipients of either interest or dividends from corporations would recognize these as regular income. Retiree and non retiree will be treated equally in this respect. Much better for the economy and more fair to retirees. 50% of all dividends, apparently are paid into pension funds types of accounts.
