Sorry bud if it were as simple as supply and demand you wouldn't need MMs to create a market. An individual would put out their ask and another person would have to match it if they wanted those shares. No other party would need to be involved. MMs have inventory of stock that they can trade for their own gains. They manipulate pennies on the regular for this purpose. We have seen it with this stock for crying out loud. They put up fake walls, create shakes in order to trigger stop losses, box it in on the bid/ask etc. If you have L2 watch it sometime. I really don't buy that MMs are there only to "create a market."
