I wouldn't be so sure about that. That is a complete opinionated post with no factual information. Many large corporations and businesses lease many kinds of technology (both hardware and software). Coming from an IT background, I can tell you that is more common than you think. Many companies budget these costs every year as they get more for their money than hiring in house folks to spend more time and resources creating what already exists.
