Rabbits are generally healthy.
They can get sick, usually respiratory illness.
When our Rabbits became sick, by the time we realized something
was wrong, they were dead within 12 hrs.
That is the worst part. Vets that know about bunnies are hard to find.
They go from well to terminal quickly. Find a Vet that knows about bunnies and how to treat them.
Life expectancies is said to be that of a cat, though this depends on breed.
Speaking of breed, one should know that the larger the breed the smarter
and more trainable they are. Makes sense as the larger the brain the more capacity they have.
