Stephanie -- with the role of "the bank [the markets/private finance capital(ism)] will give them an even better deal, if they expand the arrangement" well understood, in particular having been precisely what then drove the "taken advantage of their new prime customer bank status to buy extravagant apartments with jumbo loans at far lower interest rates than they were ever afforded in the past" bit, in one cynically wry sense, sure -- but clearly stated so as not to be so understood as it is, I'd say a fail
