Re: As to the 3.0 GHz frequency, I wonder whether this is a maximum instantaneous attainable frequency that may be throttled by heat sensors when necessary. This seems to be the way Intel is going with their throttling technology.
Just how much do you expect the 14-stage pipeline and 65W power dissipation to end up throttling the frequency?
