It seems obvious to me that the scale of the big units from Vestas limits market penetration. Cost alone has to be a barrier, and there olso is a physical "field of wind" problem with those huge units. What they require is space.
Those giant units obviously yield more power BUT, they are out of reach to the communities and everyday "green concious" household. They are a huge contribution to the amount of Green energy the US generates though.
With BLDW, what you have is a marketing possibility that allows units into all kinds of less spacious environments.
THIS is what EVERYONE has been waiting on. A Wind turbine that can be placed virtually anywhere there is a "flow" and NOW... JUST RECENTLY have these systems become efficent enough to be considered an investment. I didn't get involved with BLDW just cause they have AMAZING TECH.....I decided to dive head first because of all the advancements and the EXTREME demand that has been placed on the "wind energy" industry that BLDW will be able to accomidate.
