I think that Georg Cantor with his Theory of Sets, and Bertrand Russell with hi "Axiom of Choice" "prove" that an "all powerful" or all "omnipotent" entity is not within the realm of human logic, therefore, proving or disproving the "existence" of god is an exercise in futility. Unfortunately, I knew not of these two geniuses when I faced that dilemma around the age of 12... My solution was much simpler, I asked, "can God create a stone so heavy he cannot lift it? " The conclusion, God is not omnipotent, and thus he is not. It took another 30 years of pondering this paradox (and many of its earlier versions, including Russell's the set of all sets does it or not contain itself...) to come to some indefinite conclusions about the shortcomings of the languages we have been endowed with.
