If so, he probably should have thought of a different expression. The whole point of the play "waiting for godot" is that godot never comes, and the audience is left to feel precisely what the two protagonists feel.
No, no...I don't believe this was an attempt by TS to provide negative guidance in a 'read between the lines' sort of way. That would be silly. But I think he's too loose with his words (I watch him every saturday morning on Fox - he's often funny but always a bit of a mushmouth) Maybe he didn't think that some of his subscribers would have read Beckett. And more likely, he's aware of the title 'waiting for godot' but has no clue what the theme of the play is.
I have to say, the man should hire a better update writer. I think most of them have lacked clarity. And that's putting it nicely.
