Washington Trust Bancorp, Inc. (the Bancorp) is a bank holding company and financial holding company. The Bancorp owns all of the outstanding common stock of The Washington Trust Company (the Bank). Through its subsidiaries, the Bancorp offers a range of financial services to individuals and businesses, including wealth management, through its offices in Rhode Island, eastern Massachusetts and southeastern Connecticut, automated teller machines (ATMs), and its Internet Website (www.washtrust.com). The Company operates in two segments: Commercial Banking and Wealth Management Services. The Bancorp’s subsidiaries include the Bank and Weston Securities Corporation (WSC). The Bancorp also owns all of the outstanding common stock of WT Capital Trust I, WT Capital Trust II and Washington Preferred Capital Trust, special purpose finance entities formed with the sole purpose of issuing trust preferred debt securities and investing the proceeds in junior subordinated debentures of the Bancorp.
