Not knowing what industry you were in (not asking you to share) it might be a different circumstance. Pepsico's core business is beverages and snacks. It would be very unlikely that someone in a similar type role to yours, or any core business role, at Pepsico would ever need to contact the IT guy for his input. I'm not knocking his accomplishments as an IT person. But to make the leap that some are making that because he worked at Pepsico this is going to succed is too much.
