Very Interesting link you provided in your post and I took a second look this morning. Seems Barclay's is a listed firm in the UK. IMO, That would seem to imply we are part of the primary Barclay Group which is a listed stock at about 212 Euro. From The Barclay Group managing partner information. Description of The Group and the bottom link implies being part of the banking side of the group.
Company description:
"Barclays has two business Clusters: Global Retail Banking and Corporate & Investment Banking and Wealth Management - both comprising world-class businesses and brands.
There are two other major areas of the business: Group Centre and Absa. Group Centre is our head office and support functions operation. The Absa Group is one of South Africa's largest financial services businesses. "
