My point is, this is more lip service

Oh Yeah? .. well, you are one of the people who thinks Government should NOT represent the PEOPLE. But, the PEOPLE SAY!

Americans see unfairness as bigger economic problem than over-regulation

Jed Lewison Tue Apr 10, 2012 at 07:45 AM PDT

ABC News/Washington Post. April 5-8. American adults. ±3.5%. (1/15 results)

What do you think is the bigger problem in this country (unfairness in the economic system that favors the wealthy) or (over-regulation of the free market that interferes with growth and prosperity)?

Unfairness: 52 (55)

Over-regulation: 37 (35)

With those kinds of numbers, it's easy to see why it makes political sense for President Obama to focus on the Buffett Rule, especially given that Mitt Romney is not only opposed to the Buffett Rule but is also the poster child [ http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/04/10/1082114/-The-Buffett-Rule-vs-The-Romney-Rule ] for the unfairness that it seeks to fix.

Given the predicament he faces, it's no wonder Mitt Romney has resorted to making up shit about light bulb bans [ http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/03/19/1075843/-Mitt-Romney-blames-President-Obama-for-Bush-era-law-that-doesn-t-do-what-Romney-claims-it-does ] to make the case for repealing regulations, but as these numbers show, even Romney's lies aren't enough to win this argument.
