An excellent point, too. However keep in mind my primary goal is to build equity. I understand the flexibility might be valuable, but I want to build equity as fast as possible. Also, the enforced discipline will help. Again, if I had the means to pay the mortgage off sitting in a bank, it would be different, but I don't.
