Been there also. Spent my last year in the Navy on a spy ship. Pulling into a different non military port every month and ordered to wear civilian cloths. 28 days out, 7 days in. Spain Italy Greece Netherlands Holland Norway Ireland Scotland and England. With a months pay in my pocket. I actually suffered culture shock when returning. Wanted to go right back, but used GI bill to go to college instead.
