Personally, I cannot see company management sitting around for two years doing nothing, waiting for a merger to become possible. In the interim, they are going to try to grow this business. We have a credit line and the possibility of issuing bonds or pure preferred for a very significant amount if the right acquisition target is identified.
I also have to believe that they already have some strategic business plan that was sketched out when they agreed to the settlement terms. I think there is something in the oven (and, no, I don't believe for one minute that it is a tender offer by the hedgies for the retail shares).
