San Jose, CA – 30th May, 2005 – HelloSoft’s VoIP solutions on Texas Instruments Incorporated’s (TI’s) OMAP™ processor offers benefits and cost advantages for OEMs and ODMs to offer mobile VoIP solutions with TI’s high-performance, low-power consumption OMAP processors for multimedia-rich wireless devices. HelloSoft will be demonstrating its VoIP solutions running on TI’s OMAP processors at Computex Taipei 2005 in the TI booth #203AB in Hall 4, June 2-4 in Taipei, Taiwan.

HelloVoice™ is a complete Voice over Packet solution from Hellosoft, optimally implemented on the OMAP family of processors running Embedded Linux OS. The solution enables a short time-to-market cycle for development of devices such as converged VoWLAN cellular handsets, VoIP applications for cellular handsets and more. HelloSoft’s design leverages the ARM926EJ-S processor core embedded in the OMAP processor for executing the complete VoIP software stack including compute intensive DSP modules. The ARM926EJ-S is a DSP-enhanced 32-bit RISC processor core, well suited for applications requiring a mix of DSP and microprocessor performance. TI's industry-proven OMAP multi-engine architecture is designed to handle a variety of application tasks in parallel, so a user can enjoy several features and services concurrently.
