I lost about $ 70,000 from my first investments ever over the course of 2007 and 2008 - and have since then lost additional thousands in trying to gain it back. It was an inheritance from my Aunt and I feel just terrible about it. I was quite a naive and trusting investor and wow did I get a shock of reality.
I am a long term holder type of an investor and my choice of investments have just not been successful in any return on my investment. I am about to throw in the towel and not invest any more if my present holdings do not provide any gains on my losses.
