Just a thought, but perhaps there is a non-disclosure in place that doesn't allow them to say what's what yet? What was interesting is that they have "prospects" for the 450cc and 1150cc engines.... they didn't say we're going to be pushing 450cc and 1150cc bikes out the door soon....just prospects for the engines
I say this because there are several bike manufacturers out there that don't make thier own engines...they build the bikes (frames) and put them together but they don't make engines, tires, etc. Makes you wonder if they have deals in place whereby they get EPA approvals and potentially someone merges into them (or them into someone else), whereby the bike company also owns the engine manufacturer? Maybe far fetched, just thinking out loud, just found it interesting that he mentioned "prospects" for two types of engines specifically when (correct me if I'm wrong) they previously made 750, 950, 1050 engines? So why those two specifically? :) anyway, we'll see what happens, but maybe they aren't allowed to say what's going on, because whomever they are going to be dealing with is already dealing with someone else(other manufacturer of engines) and if they announced it, obviously the other manufacturer would take issue with that (since they wouldn't know until press release that they are loosing the business) and could potentially stop supplying engines to them?
