Jar, anyone who assumes that the currently known laws of physics MUST apply in circumstances wildly different from any in which experiments have been conducted is engaging in blind faith or hope.

Personally, I have no hopes in the matter one way or the other. I'm just pointing out that all scientific laws or theories have limitations, and there is no way of knowing where the limits of their applicability are when you are talking about situations as remote as the beginning or end of the universe.
