This is an interesting post. Like many on this site, we do some level of DD before we make investment decisions--I'd encourage that everyon not vacate from that practice to keep the malice and discontent down to a minimum. That said, this post intrigues me and has me doing additional work to discover what Mr. Scott Moestra is all about. Here's a start.
I see on his linked in site a non-profit organization I worked with while teaching my High School students at at Federal Way High School (JROTC), WA, the value of giving back without getting paid in cash. In sum, World Vision is a "Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice" (World Vision, 2012, n.p.). I did a search of their dbase and found nothing under "Scott Moesta", "Moesta" "benefits" or old news--found nothing. Per his Linked in site, he's worked there since 1995 (17 years and 3 months) as the "Benefits Manager, World Vision; Nonprofit; 10,001+ employees; Nonprofit Organization Management industry" (World Vision, 2012, n.p.).
What's important here is that leadership is seminal and a primary catalyst for any companies growth and legitimacy. More DD ahead as I'll try and contact Mr. Moesta to ascertain his background and whether or not, he was the aforementioned contributor to World Vision. More to follow.
