There are a lot of investors here who are "underwater" with this stock.

But, even though that is the case, there have been a lot of postings here recently from investors who are predicting a huge run up of this stock after the AMEX listing and after silver goes up to $40 or $50 an ounce.

THAT kind of thinking is, to me, wishful at best. I am hugely long in thie stock (I have been getting some criticism in that from my wife) but I just don't see silver going to $50 an ounce anytime soon.

There MAY be a pop in price when the AMEX listing hits and, if that happens, I would think seriously of selling most if not all of my holdings. I would reconsider if strength is continued with the AMEX listing or, more unlikely, if the POS goes up a lot.

I do believe that come next year or the year after, production will strongly increase from new mines or acquisitions or both. But as someone said, taking profits is always (almost always anyway) right.

I rode GPL from $2 to $5 on its AMEX listing and, oddly enough, sold at the right time. Look at its price now. And it has at least three producing mines.

I realize that the PE of this stock is very low. And that gives it some room to rise. But I would much rather sell too soon than too late.

And as for the POS, I am torn. I do believe that our Government is cheapening our money by vastly overprinting it. On the other hand, a world wide recession, which is quite possible, will harm the industrial component of silver. I predict that the price of silver at the end of this year will be no more than $42 at most.

My plan is to hope that USSIF will reach $5 a share. If it shows obvious strength at that point, i.e. continues to rise, then why sell. If there is, on the other hand, ANY slow down in price, I will sell.
