Imo, the thing to remember is (and I forget it all the time) IS that the election was between ALL the rightwing .. hardliners .. it was a fight between them. AND also .. MOST Iranian elections are FIXED .. Think about it .. All the 'REFORMERS' are under house arrest and have been, SINCE the last election ... so ....only one party ran, in a sense .. not actually, but in that sense of they were all conservative .. President Ahmadinejad is actually a bit more (just a tad ) more moderate than Ayatollah Ali Khamenei...Khamenei and Ahmadinejad have been engaged in a power struggle for .. . gee maybe at least a year now .. so I'm thinking that the 'most' conservative man won, not completely sure.. but from reading around that is the impression that I'm receiving .. ;) FOR SURE the MOST religious man won ... and again, the religion was a part of their disagreements ..President Ahmadinejad ..did not pay enough attention to it and was trying to 'westernize' the country .. according to Ali Khamenei ...publicly Ahmadinejad never spoke of these differences ... of course.

I am going to post more .. so maybe we will run into those things that have crossed my mind ......;)
