Helen of Troy Limited is a global designer, developer, importer and distributor of an expanding portfolio of brand-name consumer products. The Company has three segments: Personal Care, Housewares and Healthcare / Home Environment. Personal Care product category includes retail and professional appliances and accessories, and grooming, skin care and hair care solutions. Healthcare / Home Environment product category includes healthcare and home environment. During the fiscal year ended February 28, 2011 (fiscal 2011), the Company introduced 443 new products across all of its categories. The Company markets its products in approximately 91 countries throughout the world. On December 31, 2010, the Company acquired Kaz, Inc. (Kaz). On December 30, 2011, the Company acquired PUR water purification products business (PUR) from The Procter & Gamble Company.
