Am I the only one looking at the live coverage of the Columbia disaster and thinking "200,000 miles? Didja add a zero in there somewhere?".
Don't most satellites orbit at 23.2k and isn't the moon in the 200-300k range?
I'm not optimistic they'll be getting to the bottom of this anytime soon. I was starting to get excited about the notion of flights to Mars soon and I'm sure this'll set that way back, though I don't think it should.
