Did you know about my blog? Probably not, but it's on a publicly accessible webpage. Now there are, in fact, SOME people that know about it because they happened across it while searching for something I've written about or because I told them (e.g., my wife, couple of folks on a message board once). However, the public at large has no knowledge of my blog (don't go looking for it, it sucks). Now, Atrinsic's Spyder can only be discovered in one way, unless you already know about it (but if you already know about it, you're not really "discovering" it), and that's by going to www.atrinsicaffiliatenetwork.com and noticing the little graphic on the bottom. I think there's a web designer/developer floating around here that might support or disagree with the claim I'm about to make. The layout of that page is not designed to draw your attention to their little Spyder image. While it's not invisible, it's not exactly jumping out at anyone either. I wouldn't call that an announcement. If it were an announcement on their website (which might be the only announcement we see and wouldn't surprise me) I would expect it to be advertised and touted in the attention-getting part of their affiliate site (the Flash banner).
I'm not trying to argue with anyone here and I would hope by now that folks know I'm a supporter, not a basher, of ATRN. This is my analysis and opinion of the subject and I happen to think it's accurate :)
